Type: Bug

When you try to save a document that contains a user-authored AS component Content Studio returns the error 13 "Type mismatch" and the document will not be saved.

This error i likely to occur if your AS component contains a comment in the parameters section of the parameter XML. The error occurs in the internal AS component script parser when it finds the comment and assumes that it is a regular parameter.

Remove all XML elements in the <PARAMETERS> section in the parameters XML that are not valid AS Component parameters ex. comments.

This is a known error that will occur in the scenario described above. This problem will be fixed in later versions of Content Studio.

More information

Starting with version 4.0 there is the handy parameters window that assist you when building AS component parameters. You should avoid editing the parameters XML directly in version 4.0.
